Media - Mini Disc Recording

 

The battle to replace the cassette began in earnest in the early 90s with the arrival of MiniDisc and the ill-fated Digital Compact Cassette (DCC). MiniDisc won the original battle and has proved itself to be a serious audio format that’s especially good on the move (personal players, in-car systems etc), and has a high reliability for professional entertainers. The ability to re-record and re-compile your disc quickly and easily gives this format a very definite advantage over others.

 

Many DJs and performers now have a Mini Disc player incorporated into their existing set ups as an option – many perform with Mini Disc only set ups.

 

Twin deck Mini Disc mixing is also an option for the pro mixing DJ with the release of the Denon DN-M2300R and other such models.
