Additional Facilities
Screen Printing of cases
This facility is available on just about all case types that are finished in high pressure laminate. The process requires a high quality image of a logo or a typestyle, usually provided by the client although artwork can be produced for you for a small additional charge. This artwork is transferred onto a frame used to produce the screen print. A one off charge is made for the frame, which we would lodge with 5 Star for future orders. This process adds visual impact and extra security to any case for little outlay. Again, contact our Sales Team for further information. 5 Star Cases has its own ‘in-house’ Maintenance Engineer with a well equipped workshop including welding and pneumatic fabrication tooling. Electrical facilities are also catered for with a host of test gear and tooling. This ensures that the inevitable machine breakdown, however big or small is dealt with quickly, getting production back with little disruption.
Exhibitions
The company regularly attends some of the key exhibitions in the UK and overseas. On average 5 Star exhibits two or three times annually and over the past few years have attended PLASA—London, PALME—Dubai, SIB—Rimini, Musik Messe—Frankfurt and Instrumentation—Aberdeen.
5 Star uses its experience and well equipped factory to produce its own exhibition stands. Some of these stands have ranged from simple 12m squared to extensive 50metre squared layouts. 5 Star’s Technical Department look after the design and project management of most exhibitions. Experience from over twenty years on the exhibition circuit enables the company to produce eye-catching stands together with the necessary health and safety requirements expected these days.

Prompt Deliveries
5 Star Cases has a number of delivery vehicles, including a 3.5T box van. Our Sales Representatives also drive small vans, which is proving to be a very useful facility in two ways. Not only can smaller deliveries be made when visiting the client, but also any equipment that requires bespoke foam inserts or detailed measurements taken, can be brought back to the factory in safety.
Studio Furniture Division
Although not well known, 5 Star Cases can also produce a stunning range of Studio Furniture and associated products. Primarily intended for the Audio Visual market, this range of products is constructed by a local company in partnership with 5 Star. The range is totally custom designed and built to the client’s requirements. Products are constructed by traditional cabinet maker’s methods. The main carcass material is natural wood veneered MDF, not a plastic laminate.
All main edges are lipped in solid wood and can be of Oak, Beech, Mahogany etc. Please contact our Sales Team for further details.
Plant & Property Maintenance
7.5T and larger vehicles are contracted when necessary, by a company that 5 Star have used for many years. Again, minimising the risk to equipment and cases. All our vehicles are fitted with the latest Satellite Navigation systems to aid prompt and accurate deliveries and collections.
