KARAOKE PLAYERS:
What Is A Karaoke "Separate" Player?
Component Karaoke players are similar in size to “Hi-Fi” separates. Some of the more industrial players will follow the 19 inch rack standard, enabling them to be slotted into industry standard flightcases. There are all sorts of brands and models, all offering different facilities.
We refer to component Karaoke players as “Karaoke Players – Separates” in our navigation map.
A Karaoke separate player will always have at least the following minimum criteria:
• A CD player which will play the Karaoke CD+G format discs. (in addition certain models will play one, two or all of the other formats such as DVD, VCD, divX etc etc)
• At the very least space for one microphone input (more often 2)
• A digital Echo facility for the microphone input(s).
• At the very least one video-output phono socket (sometimes 2) which allows a connection to an external display source such as a TV screen or digital minitor.
• Audio output phono sockets to connect to external amplification such as professional power amplifiers, home hi-fis or even home TVs.
The vast majority of separate players will also include:
• An in-built key changer that will allow you to find the most comfortable key for you to sing.
Many separate players may also feature:
• Programmable features that make it easy to cue specific discs and tracks
