Electribe•S - create your own unique sound with aggressive sampling. When you want a sampler with a fat and gritty sound and aggressive processing, you want Electribe•S. The Electribe•S doesn't simply play back recorded sound - it lets you create your own signature. Take any sound or phrase in and use the pitch, filter and effects knobs to radically alter the sample. Assign up to ten parts to sampled sounds, then use the step sequencer to create highly complex rhythm patterns quickly and easily. Where once rolls and reverse playback for each part meant hours of programming now you can have them at the touch of a button. In addition to a master delay effect, you get a built-in effects processor with eleven types of effects from basic reverb to the unique decimator. Edit, motion sequence and resample are all there for you to create patterns and songs. You can even resample while modifying parameters such as pitch in real time to create even more new sounds with no deterioration in audio quality. The slice function lets you chop a sampled phrase or sound into pieces. The attacks of each part within a loop (e.g. bass drum, snare, and hi-hat) are detected for individual massaging, plus you can modify the tone of a phrase processed by Slice, creating complex patterns from a simple loop or phrase. The Electribe•S uses SmartMedia 3.3 to store your sampled sounds, patterns and songs and to load AIFF and WAV files from your computer.
