Built specifically to make your performances in festival marquees, halls, and at open-air events a huge success, PROJECTOR marries audio expertise gleaned from big touring rigs to the advantages of HK AUDIO Active Systems. Brawny enough for big bass sounds yet ultra responsive for dynamic nuances, four horn-loaded 18" subwoofers with 600 watts RMS each pack a mighty low-end punch, even over long-throw distances. Courtesy of a combination of 12" speaker and 2" driver, the horn-loaded mid/high range unit ensures that complex signals remain crisp and articulate all the way to the back row.
A truly professional tool, PROJECTOR sports premium-class details such as rugged 18mm birch plywood housings, Powercon mains sockets for added performance reliability, and Aeroquip flight rails on the mid/high cabs. Compact cabinet dimensions coupled with rugged 80mm castors make the system easy to tote and set up.

HK AUDIO
Over the course of the last twenty five years, the name HK AUDIO® has become synonymous in Europe with live sound reinforcement systems of unrivaled quality. Made in Germany, these systems are the product of a lifelong passion and pursuit of a vision – the aspiration to deliver the perfect sound.
Company founders (and brothers) Hans and Lothar Stamer began producing their own loudspeaker cabinets in 1979 in a small shop in southwestern Germany. While the production space may have been small, their aspirations were not. Soon, the reputation of their products for craftsmanship and performance spread, prompting them to expand operations time and time again. Along the way, they served as Original Equipment Manufacturer to some of the most revered international names in pro audio. Over time, they developed and manufactured professional touring systems for larger and larger venues, including audiences of 100,000 and more.
Today, systems manufactured in their world-class facilities in St. Wendel, Germany, are called into service for an extremely broad range of applications. Thanks to the efforts of a highly skilled and dedicated team of more than 200 people, HK Audio® has firmly established itself as one of the most distinguished names in professional sound reinforcement in Europe.
ACTIVE SYSTEMS TECHNOLOGY™
HK AUDIO systems are all-inclusive sound reinforcement solutions comprising subwoofers, mid/high-range enclosures and
integrated electronics. Every system was developed from the ground up for a specific application and perfected for that purpose.
Though all aspects of system design are important, none is as crucial as selecting and matching components. The sonic magic to which we aspire requires components that do more than merely function together – they must act in concert, harmonising to
create systems greater than the sum of their parts.
These are tall orders, indeed. To fill them all, HK AUDIO engineers developed many new features and technologies. These features
are then handpicked and fine-tuned to suit each system. And by gearing every system to satisfy the requirements of specific sonic scenarios, we ensure that it delivers the best possible results for its intended application.
DynaClip™ Limiter
for the bass power amp
HK AUDIO DynaClip™ technology is a dynamic limiter developed specifically
to enhance low-end performance. The DynaClip™ Limiter compensates for
the subwoofer's slower initial transient response, audibly improving pulse
behaviour. This makes the most of low-frequency energy, and enhanced
efficiency translates to more power.
Opto Limiter
for the mid/high-range
Mid/high-range frequencies are a breed apart from low-end frequencies, and they
require a different type of signal processing. To this end, we use a technology
originally developed for high-end recording. Its soft attack ensures smoother, more
musical limiting that sounds inconspicuous, even pleasant. The original signal
envelope remains largely intact, yielding a more dynamic and natural-sounding
response.
MultiBand Limiting
Optimized for every frequency range
Several limiters are synchronised to process all key frequency ranges. This achieves balanced dynamic response and punchy projection for highly musical sound across the entire frequency spectrum.
OFR™
Optimized Frequency Response Technology
An unprecedented technology, OFR™ delivers commanding yet well-balanced
sound at every level. It compensates for speaker components’ non-linear
frequency response and adapts the system’s sound to human auditory response.
Subsonic Filter
Protection against Low-Frequency rumble
The integrated subsonic filter suppresses accidental and unintentional signals such as footfalls, wind, or the sound of a hand accidentally brushing a microphone.
It cuts these frequencies drastically, freeing energy to better render bass impulses. Goodbye squashed dynamics and artificial sound, hello authenticity and natural sounding high/mid range response.
Digital Amping
Enhanced Efficiency and Dynamics
With an efficiency rating topping the 90% mark, digital power amps are smaller, lighter, and more compact than conventional amps.
The reduced thermal load on components clearly enhances reliability. The slew rate is far faster and the attenuation factor is higher, resulting in perceptibily
more responsive and accurate performance.

Making the Most of Sonic Energy
DuoTilt™, MicroTilt™ and MonoTilt™ pole mounts allow sound energy to be utilised far more efficiently. The DuoTilt™ offers angles of 7.5° and 15°, and MicroTilt™ and MonoTilt™ 10°, to better aim the mid/high-range cabinets directly at the audience. Troublesome ceiling reflections are minimised; the soundscape is clearer, tighter and more focused.
