(formerly JEM pyrotechnics) has a philosophy which is based on innovation, quality and safety, resulting in a range of products the envy of the competition in the marketplace. The PDS (Pyrotechnics Detonating System) range is probably the safest and the most technically advanced group of such products in the world.
Total Operator Safety Control At All Times
Completely controlled by the operator at all times via the remote desk, there is a whole host of features with the PDS system, designed with 2 purposes in mind : EASY USE and TOTAL SAFETY. The SAFETY KEY makes the unit as safe as can be with a key-lock system and a removeable key. Furthermore, the FIRE button illuminates when the system is armed to prevent confusion. There is a FAULT LED on-board should there be a fault in the Controller, Smartpod or Cable, whilst a LIVE LED informs you that the system is ready to operate. As if that wasn’t enough, CHANNEL SWITCHES with bi-coloured LEDS enable the user to carry out continuity checks on each channel (RED for problem, GREEN for okay). “Out on the floor” so to speak, the SMARTPODS are fitted with bi-coloured LEDs which warn both performers and technicians the system has just been armed and is ready to fire. They also assist with continuity checks on stage. Throughout, only XLR Connectors are used. They lock into place and are far more durable and reliable than any other type of connector.
So Simple To Operate
Set up is a piece of cake! The 4 Channel controller, as you’d expect can be fed to 4 different pods, which can then be fired all-together or separately as you wish. You can “daisy-chain” as many Smartpods as you like via the control cables – the potential is there for a stadium display of hundreds of carts going off simultaneously if you liked! Every kit comes delivered with easy to follow, easy to understand operating instructions. Following those will ensure that you become a competent user and you will be confident in getting good results from your show.

Bombtank or Cannon use any PDS Firing Box Direct.
