So what exactly is Proburn ?

Proburn is a service which allows you to take control of your Karaoke music. You can make your own Karaoke discs and fill them up with 70 minutes worth of songs. The facility lets you choose your own disc title (e.g. John's Karaoke Favourites) which is actually printed on your finished disc.

What songs can I choose from ?

Proburn now have the largest selection of songs in the world - almost 40,000 at the time of writing (May 2007) and growing all the time. The world's leading brands are all included - Sunfly, Easy Karaoke, Zoom, Sound Choice, Music Maestro, DK Karaoke and Priddis as well as some international brands including French, Portuguese, German and Hispanic titles.

How many tracks can I fit on my disc ?

Load as much as you can into the 70 minutes available on the CD. It's really easy to do that - our site shows you how much time you have left as you fill up your disc.

How do I make more than one disc during the same online shopping trip?

Our system is designed to keep things as simple as possible - this means that we ask you to make one disc at a time. Once you have completed the cycle of preparing a disc and adding it to your shopping basket you can then continue to shop and start disc 2.

What's the format for these discs ? Do I need a special player to play them ?

Proburn uses the world's most popular Karaoke standard - CDG. The music from CDG (CD+Graphic) discs can play on any CD or DVD player at all. However, to get the guide lyrics on screen your player must have the ability to read CDG. Every Karaoke player that we sell is CDG compatible.

How much does it cost ?

£2.35 per song (there's a minimum charge of £23.50 per disc, so you're better off choosing at least 10 tracks)

When will I receive my disc ?

Within 2 working days (UK), 3 working days (Ireland) and 5-6 working days (rest of the world).

Are these discs legal ?

Yes, of course! All tracks are fully licensed via the MCPS (mechanical copyright protection society) who ensure that all the artists make gains with their songwriting credits.

What are my guarantees with these discs ?

All discs have a manufacturers defect guarantee for 1 year, as with all of the products we sell. Your guarantee ensures that your disc will maintain perfect audio and visual reproduction during that time. As you'd expect, there are reasonable mis-use exceptions such as excessive scratching or spillage stains.

What if I make a mistake with my tracklist ? Can I exchange the disc ?

All of these discs are completely unique to you and therefore cannot be re-sold. We cannot, therefore, be flexible with returns. The onus is on you to make sure that you order the correct tracks. There are plenty opportunities for you to check things over. Even after you press submit, you may still have time to get in touch with us before the disc is actually burned.

Handy tips

1. Download an Excel file of the full catalogue before you start. Although a little time consuming initially, this will give you an excellent source for browsing, sorting and choosing your tracks. By doing this you can fully prepare your disc requirements before you come online to actually make your own disc.
2. Please prepare your disc carefully. Once you've finalized your disc to basket, the tracklist cannot be altered (you would need to re-compile your disc from scratch.)
3. If you have a preference for a particular brand, use the brand logo which is listed to the left of each track. For your reference here's a break down of all the logos shown :

   DK KARAOKE

   Daiichi Kosho Co. Ltd of Japan have been producing karaoke discs for over 30 years and offer some 1600 songs here.

   EASY KARAOKE

   Easy Karaoke produce some of the best Karaoke in the UK. A long established, high quality producer with a strong following, using good musicians and production.

   KARAOKE PLANETE

   French songs on Karaoke.

   PORTUGUESE KARAOKE

   Portuguese songs on Karaoke.

   MUSIC MAESTRO

   From the USA, another long established producer. Music Maestro now no longer make CDG discs - instead the entire catalogue, 6000 songs strong, has been placed into the Proburn system.

   GERMAN KARAOKE

   German songs on Karaoke.

   PRIDDIS

   Priddis from the USA add a lot of variety to Proburn with over 3,000 songs - watch out for some rare artists and cabaret songs that you won't see anywhere else!

   SOUND CHOICE

   The Karaoke giants! Sound Choice were original pioneers from 20 years ago. You get excellent musicianship and sound quality throughout the vast Sound Choice catalogue, which is almost 12,000 songs strong.

   SUNFLY

   The latest addition to the Proburn system is very welcome indeed. Along with Easy, Sunfly are the other UK original pioneers. Several thousand hits are included, including some fabulous rarities that you just won't find anywhere else.

   TROPICAL ZONE

   Hispanic songs on Karaoke.

   ZOOM

   The latest UK manufacturer has made a great name for itself in a short space of time. With their keen eye on getting the songs as close to the originals as possible, the Zoom brand has become synonymous with quality, and offers some unique material at the same time.
